Well as far as midges go, they can be quite aggressive here, but we've found
the ultimate insect repellant and it keeps even the most persistent of the things off you. Don't laugh.- its Avon Skin So Soft dry oil body spray! It has to be the "woodland fresh" variety. Honestly I'm not having you on and smelling "woodland fresh" is certainly better than being eaten alive!
