I know we hashed this around before -- but I'd suggest to the group we
expand the offerings to 3 events a year. I know, not *everyone* could make all three, but it might open the doors for some of our lurkers -- or geographically challenged anglers --- to attend one of these fun tourneys. Big O is farther than I care to travel but I think it's an awesome place for a tourney -- especially with Moe and Doc in charge. Georgia / SC/ Texas all have outstanding fisheries. And if Tennessee is great, Barkely sounds awesome -- maybe fishing from either the KY or Tn side. And while we're on a mini - rant: how about if Warren, Rich Z and those two from NY/NJ: ThunderKing and AlwaysFishboy get together and put on a North East get together. Heck, we could do a spring, summer, fall and winter tourney!!!!! (PS: Yes, we could do an Iowa tourney -- but the only hawgs here have four legs and are standing in light at the slaughter house. Now deer hunting, hmmmm, that's a different news group) Thundercat wrote: On Fri, 30 Apr 2004 10:24:02 GMT, "alwayfishking" wrote: Eufaula sounds nice to me, but hey Okee wasn't too shabby. I would LOVE to go back there if at all possible. However, you know that Eufala is on "The List" and would be a no brainer too. I would be there for the Big-O next year had trailer issues this year (new
axel on the way) or I would have been there this year. Lake Toho would be nice! with a few fish camps on the lake and a multitude of motels that cater to anglers real close. add to that you have Disney world, Universal Orlando, sea world, Kennedy space center. gatorland and Arabian nights right there to help convince the family to go. There are just too many good places to fish between Kentucky and Florida,
that it's getting hard to decide which ones to fish. Here are some good ones (not based on personal experience) in the Tennessee Area. 1: Kentucky/Barkley Lakes (I've fished Barkley) 2: Douglas Lake 3: Old Hickory Lake (Fished this one too) 4: Watts Bar 5: Pickwick 6: Reelfoot (Think very shallow) 7: Nickajack Lake 8: Center Hill Lake 9: Dale Hollow Lake 10: Tellico Lake 11: Tims Ford Lake Of the above lakes, numbers 1, 2, 8, and 9 would be my choices for another Tennessee location. Kentucky/Barkley lakes would be a more centralize location for almost everyone and maybe we can even get some of the Westerners to think about joining. April is always a pretty good month, as is May. I'm free for anything next year. "RGarri7470" wrote in message ... Any plans set yet? Dates and lake? Ronnie http://fishing.about.com |

I for one would LOVE to see a NE Classic on Lake Champlain. That way RichZ
might even show up lol. Mallets Bay would be a great starting point, in the Burlington Vt area... Warren "Fritz Nordengren" wrote in message news:strkc.3714$NI6.557214@attbi_s01... Based on this years results I see no reason to move it from Okee...I'm there

Hell, I might even show my ugly face for that one. Lake Champlain is one of my favorites right up there next to the Hudson.

The only trouble with Toho is they pulled the plug out of the bottom of the lake and let most of the water out. I don't know when
they plan to end the draw down. Doc "Roy Randolph" wrote in message ... I really like Center Hill and Hurricane Dock - Fritz and I had a great time -
no fish like the big ones in Fla but good numbers and those spots fight hard! I am open to anything. I figured everyone would be wanting to return to Okeechobee after this year's results. Ronnie http://fishing.about.com |

Eufaula sounds better.
"Jerry Barton Yea - Eufaula was pretty good for me while yall were in Fla. Sat tournament took 18 pounds to win there, and I could have weitghed in 15 to 18 every day before the weekend. So the time of year can be good , and the facilities at Lakepoint are great - but they are remodeling and may be closed next year. They have cabins, rooms, resturant, a marina and camping all in one spot. Ronnie http://fishing.about.com |

The draw down is in 4 year cycles and shouldn't be a problem next spring and
if you plan it in early March you will see weigh in bags busting out with possible 30+ pounds.Add to that you have the Kissimmee chain to play on. This lake is just the right size for an event like this not to big not to small with big hawgs and keepers all over the place and if you want to you can make a major run to another lake or two. I for one would love to get away from all the snow here in Michigan during March with weather in the mid 70's to low 80's during that time you wont get fried either. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind Kentucky/Barkley either I got a tournament there in April next year so I wouldn't complain. "Doc (The Tin Boat King)" wrote in message ...
