I would like to find fishing mates, enjoying friendship and fishing, and
if someone has a boat and wants to go fishing together, I'll love it.

It costs a lot of money to have, maintain, license, and fuel a boat. I
strongly suggest if you do find somebody willing to take you fishing in
their boat that you be more than generous with fuel assistance, bring extra
munchies and drinks for your host when you go, and when you get off the
water take the time to hep your host clean and store his boat.

If you don't you probably won't get invited back very often.

Also, if your not familar with the area, http://www.chicagopaddling.org is
the same basic information, but in map format, so you have a map of the area
showing you lakes, and you click on the lake for info... kinda handy for
finding lakes and river access close to you (since you know the general area
you live in...)

I know, and I would like to buy one in some years.

I know it well, when I went to other people boats in Italy usually we
divided all expenses.
the same is when we go together fishing with a car. we divide fuel,
food, baits, everithing.
that's friendship. I don't want to take advantage of anybody.

huge work, really nice and useful.
many times I have time for fishing, a car to go but I don't know best
hotspots, so I'm used to go in overfished zones, while I'd prefer wild
ones.

only one thing seems not working, if you go from that pages to fish
pages, they are linked with offline pages:
http://dnr.state.il.us/fish/npike.htm

Yea... we are in the process of replacing them with something like this;
http://www.chicagofishing.com/largemouth.html which probably gives as much
info as you might want on Micropterus salmonides if you roll thru all the
links...

Things are constantly in a state of flux...

Hi Vittorix,

Not all clubs are competition clubs. Some are family clubs that do
participate in some competitions. Others are a place to get together
and help each other without any pressures of competition. But the
Illinois BASS Federation is a good place to find a list of local clubs
and then you can contact a few. Ask what they are about and see if they
are doing something you would like to do.

If you get out to Bedford Sales, you might ask around there and see if
someone can help you out. There are always some people in there on a
rainy day looking at tackle. Good People too.

Hi Vittorix, Well this ain't about fishing in, or near Chicago (I used
to live in Chicago, lived there all my life up until 2 years ago)

But it's a nice joke to tell you, and everyone else here in the group:

One day, I decided to take the day off, and go down the the Museum of
Science And Industry down by the Lakefront.

While browsing around the Museum, I decided to go take a look at the
captured German Submarine, the U-505.

So, while I'm standing there looking at the Submarine, there's this
little old Italian Man standing next to me looking at it too, so I
decided to strike up a conversation with him.

So, I asked the little old man "Say, is that a U-Boat"?

And the little old man replied,

No, That'sa no my Boat, I justa looook"! lol,
Mark
