Default baitcaster broken tab

I have a silstar II baitcaster with a broken mounting tab, my son over
tightened it. I still have the tab. Is there a way to fix this reel ,or
is it destined for the trash? I'd like to save the reel if possible.
thanks for your help
john

Without seeing the reel, I'd have to say that you're probably out of luck.
How old is the reel? It shouldn't have broken like that, maybe you can
contact Silstar and get the reel replaced.

Their customer service phone number is 803 794 8521

Good Luck,
