Lidl, the German grocery store had them in a couple of months ago and they
sold out very quickly. I would suggest that you visit your local Lidl store and ask are they going to get more in. David "Gandalf" wrote in message ... Hi All, Well now done two trips on my revised fishing and caught on both occasions but whilst I caught loads nothing of any real size was banked but I am enjoying it. First question, does anyone know of a tripod bank stick, something that can be used when it is impossible to stick a good old metal rod in the ground. I have seen on from Gardeners but can not get it other than mail order. I think I can make one to be honest but buying one might mean a better finish to it.VBG A slightly harder question, well harder for me, my local lake has a good head of carp that are catchable. I do not want to go down the dedicated carp route but would like to set up a cheap and cheerful carp rod and real outfit that can double for pike in the winter. We are talking about a maximum of mid 20lb carp and pike at best and I do not want to buy to powerful a rod so I get to feel the fish fight if it is not that big. I have no idea on the best rod and especially the test curve to get. Any ideas on a spec for a rod that fits please. Plus any advice on other things to look for as the carp world seems well over complicated compared to good old tiddler bashing. Many thanks in advance. -- Gandalf |
