![]() "Wayne Knight" wrote in message ... "Wolfgang" wrote in message ... what's next? That would be all the poor single mothers having more kids to get bigger checks Don't know about that but . . . some of the movers and shakers in Deano's area got caught using the Red Cross shelters to house illegal Mexican workers they brought into the area AFTER KATRINA, neatly avoiding having to actually pay their illegal workers for food and housing. The local Sheriff apparently raided the shelters on the information that these workers that the contractors and casinos brought in were dealing drugs and intimidating legitimate hurricane victims as well as scamming the Red Cross. In a very cleaver PR move the local bigshots bamboozled the media into reporting the story from a discrimination angle! The Sheriff was also pressured to back off. But were the contractor/casino illegal workers moved out of the shelters? Hummmmmmmm. Since Deano is on the scene, is a local BFD and mover and shaker, and knows so much about the RED CROSS, Im wondering just how much he can enlighten ROFF on this despicable scam. But alas, he has not been much in evidence since the despicable scam was first reported. Dave Ideology fa schifo |

I saw no Red Cross workers or equipment in either Waveland or Pass
Christian. There was NG, FEMA, and local help, but no RC. Why? I don't know. The NG were in within hours after the storm passed and they were able to move. I talked to many survivors and they never spoke of the RC. Dave |

![]() "Wayne Knight" wrote in message ... "Dave LaCourse" wrote in message ... I talked to many survivors and they never spoke of the RC. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9518677/ Hm........ So, one day the Red Cross is raked over the coals for thinking ahead, not using all of the funds gathered in the aftermath of a particular disaster for the immediate relief thereof. O.k., they say, we'll do that in the future. Next time at bat they do just that......and everybody is outraged. What a pity that stupidity isn't good for much. It appears to be the world's most abundant inexhaustible resource. ![]() Wolfgang |
