Hi Barry
I've fished the mighty Ebro and what a daunting expanse of water it is! My advice would be to contact one of the many guides out there. Although, as I understand it, these fish are caught regularly from the bank using pellets and such, by far the best way is to drift down river in a boat trailing float-fished, locally caught, Mullet and Eel live-baits. Getting the experience and knowledge of a local guide is, IMHO money well spent. Hope this helps! Brian "Barry" wrote in message ... Has anyonew had any experience of fishing the Ebro ?? Barry |

Many thanks Barry I spent a week on the Ebro delta a month or so ago and would highly reccomend it. It has produced cats to over 200lb and the number of mullet down there is amazing. With the unlimited food supply and almost zero pressure it won't be long before the delta region consistently produced fish bigger than the middle reaches. There are also some *very* large Crucians down there.....which the cats really seem to like ![]() As for the Barbel they do look rather tempting - and go a lot more than 25lb! I understand Pete Staggs runs a guiding service and targets them - might be worth googling him up. inky |
