This stuff has gotten so good - it's amazing. I really think that 'over the
air' radio is dying fast.

I've been listening to pandora.com - a really unique concept - you give them
a list of songs and/or artists you like and it starts playing things 'like
that'. It gets some amazing hits.

Also listening to radioparadise.com - human being selected eclectic rock and
roll mix. Really great song picks. Here's the last hour or so:

2:38 pm - Joni Mitchell - Carey
2:41 pm - Sonia Dada - Ain't Life for the Living
2:44 pm - John Chibadura - Zuva Rekufa Kwangu
2:47 pm - Talking Heads - First Week/Last Week ... Carefree
2:51 pm - Whiskeytown - A Song For You
2:57 pm - Big Head Todd & The Monsters - Broken Hearted Savior
3:01 pm - Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon - Oh Well
3:05 pm - Paul Weller - Wild Wood
3:09 pm - The Stone Roses - Don't Stop
3:14 pm - Jackie McAuley - Ride The Peace Train
3:18 pm - U2 - Please (Live From Rotterdam)
3:25 pm - The White Stripes - The Denial Twist
3:28 pm - Peggy Lee - Fever
3:31 pm - Rolling Stones - Play With Fire
3:33 pm - The Cure - Burn
3:39 pm - Third World - 96 Degrees In The Shade
3:42 pm - 10 CC - Dreadlock Holiday
3:47 pm - Leon Russell - Back To The Island
3:51 pm - Harry Nilsson - Coconut
(which made me think of ROFF...)

Hmmmnnn-- if I asked for it over and over, would they play it over and
over?

Reminds me of the time I played These Boots are Made for Walking five
consecutive times on the jukebox.

You played "Boots" five consecutive times, and they let you live? You
must have been the only one there. G

You have great taste in music, Stan. Tell me, do you listen to any
Nickel Creek? How about the Dresden Dolls?

Not everyon'e taste is the same of course, but when I had the opportunity, I
was a big fan of CKUA in Alberta, www.ckua.org. Great mix of jazz, Celtic,
blues, folk, and local (to them) stuff.

Although I haven't been there lately, www.hober.com was another great mix of
folk, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, & other eclectic stuff.

I'm not a fan of the Dresden Dolls.

I did put Bela Fleck (actually because I'm a fan of Victor Wooten) into my
Pandora list a week ago and started to get some Nickel Creek in the mix. I
like them a lot.

I set up a jazz Christmas music 'station' in Pandora this week so I've been
listening to a lot of Diana Krall's Christmas album...

I like some of the stuff. I found them interesting in that they base
their music on the music of Weimar Germany.

Hmmm. . . If Stan had great taste in music, he'd be playing that CD I
sent him over and over and over. . . ;-)
