And "Der Party" is just ever so precious.

Yeah, is was kinda sticky wasn't it

Well, I don't think I've ever followed a thread this far down the screen
and this one, too, is losing interest ... even on a rainy day with
nothing else to do ...

Yeah, I thought it might.....soon.

think I'll fire up the tying vise and turn out some midge pupa ... I had
a lone baetis dun on the side of my travel trailer yesterday, might be
trying to tell me it's time to get ready.

Thanks for the fun ...

You're welcome.

Oh, hey, by the way, while your tying you might want to ponder a question
for me.....I mean, what with your obvious deep seated need to make the world
a better place and all.

Would you characterize testing yourself against pre-teens as just a
hobby?......or is it a long sought potential means of fulfilling some lofty
aspiration?.....or what? If the former, I'd like to suggest that most dogs,
having once bitten the burlap, will find another hobby. If the
latter.....well, good luck.

Well I honestly never thought of it as testing myself. I had some things
I kinda wanted to say, probably my over active desire to impose my values on
others as you, more or less accurately, point out. And I had a couple
things that I've been curious about, but I see that my questions are not
going to be answered.... not really a big deal.

I think your implication in the "testing" and "find another hobby" is that I
was tested and I've been defeated in that test. My impression was that we
were playing different games for different reasons. At your game I was
defeated, and I'm not likely to soon have enough interest to play again ...
at mine, the game simply faded away unplayed.

You seem like an interesting case, one I'd like to understand rather than
just guess about, but not interesting enough to pursue the knowledge uphill
against your will. So, yes, I have been defeated in that interest. The
words that did it were "......well, you're a liar." That basic phrase
seems to precede many of your changes from 'clever' to 'pre-teen' and I have
zero interest in more exposure to the latter.

Congratulations on your win.

Questions? You had questions?

I think your implication in the "testing" and "find another hobby" is that
I was tested and I've been defeated in that test.

I've heard that there may or may not be a high level of correspondence
between what's implied and what's inferred. It might be interesting to
speculate on what sort of fatuous self-inflated delusion leads you to
believe I'd be interested in testing you.......but I doubt it.

My impression was that we were playing different games for different
reasons.

Game? You think this is some sort of game? Let's see now......lawsuits,
beatings, shootings, citizens arrests, pepper spray, denigrating millions of
people solely on the basis of political party affiliation, and a professed
willingness to go further.......hm.....how does one keep score?

At your game I was defeated, and I'm not likely to soon have enough
interest to play again ... at mine, the game simply faded away unplayed.

And yet, here you are......again Things got a bit slow at the old tying
bench, did they? How many times does something need to bore you before
you'll leave it alone?

You seem like an interesting case,

Things aren't always what they seem.

one I'd like to understand rather than just guess about,

You'd be disappointed. Trust me.

but not interesting enough to pursue the knowledge uphill against your
will.

In that case, common sense would dictate another course.

So, yes, I have been defeated in that interest.

Well, if it's any comfort to you, I saw it coming. I mean, if you want to
play the piano, for instance, chopping off your fingers as a warmup exercise
may SEEM like a good idea at the time........

The words that did it were "......well, you're a liar." That basic
phrase seems to precede many of your changes from 'clever' to 'pre-teen'

Things are not always what they seem. That "basic phrase" is always
preceded by a transparent lie. I have never been able to
understand......nor do I suppose that I ever will.....why it is that people
who object to be labeled as liars make a habit of lying.

and I have zero interest in more exposure to the latter.

I read something quite similar to this just a few short hours ago. We'll
see.

Congratulations on your win.

Um......shouldn't there be a prize or something?

Wolfgang
