"Dr. David Blanchard...said a roughly 5 mm piece of shot became lodged in or alongside Whittington's heart muscle..." 5 mm. 5 mm?  Everything is bigger in Texas, I've heard. Y'all got some KICKASS quail down there! Wolfgang somewhere in the land where buckshot doesn't usually come out until something truly fierce......like squirrels or bunnies.......does.

If Blanchard actually said that, I'd wonder if it isn't two pellets (5 mm would be about 2 7 1/2s). And 5mm wouldn't be buckshot, it'd be more like a BB or BBB...I figured a old Daisy hand such as yerself would know that...have you ever even seen a Sheridan Blue/Silver Streak?
