![]() "rb608" wrote in message ups.com... The longer you wait, the harder it will be to ever open it. I mean, if you didn't open it for *that*, how can you justify opening it fot *this*? Although in a different universe altogether, I had a similar problem with a couple bottles of wine. Not just any wine, mind you, but three bottles of homemade blackberry wine. I'd sampled a few bottles right after it had matured sufficiently, and it was damned good stuff. So good, in fact, that I determined not to drink it all up too soon, but to save it for the *right* occasions. So down in the basement they stayed. No situation seemed right. Then I knocked one over & broke it. After several years of moving them out of my way while they gathered more dust, I just said screw it & pulled the cork on one for no reason at all. It was still great, and it tasted just as good as if it were a special occasion, which it turned out to be. Joe F. Bringing home 2 bottles of Bordeaux and a Chianti Classico tonight. Different brands of Bordeaux I had not tried, as decided good time to try them. Made it to the driveway when the bag broke. Both bottles of Bordeaux broke. Not the reasonable Chianti. |

Actually, Greg, David is asking for folks to remind him "when" he has smeared others, aside from rw and Wolfgang. Wait for him to deny your accusations and then call him a liar. I hesitate to prolong this thread; but all of the speculation and
politics aside, I was somewhat astounded at just how far this incident had permeated into Americana. I was in a very small seaside town, way down on Maryland's Eastern Shore; and I was taken aback by the marquee sign at the town pizza parlor: Dick Cheney Pizza Fresh Shot Dough I sweartagawd. I have no clue as to what "fresh shot dough" could be or how it might remotely suggest a tastier pizza; but I thought it a strange sign for that area. Joe F. |

Look around you, stevie, it's been over two weeks......nobody cares. Most Americans have probably once again forgotten who Dick Cheney is by now. Whittington has already left the hospital, mumbled some exculpatory drivel and resubmerged into a doubtless well deserved anonymity. Hell, Cheney could have killed him and it wouldn't make any difference. Witnesses could have testified that Cheney shot him deliberately.....and it STILL wouldn't have made any difference. Wolfgang who knows that precedent counts for a lot in government and law.......cheny wouldn't be the first sitting u.s. vice president to escape prosecution for murder. ![]() |
