Default ??? What's The Best Hook ???

What is the best hook for thick bodied rubber baits. I missed two good fish
yesterday throwing a Kinami Palm Tree. On I had on the other I just missed.
When I pulled the bait in after the one I had on I could see that the hook
point was bearly exposed. I was using an extra wide gap 5/0 hook.

For those who are wondering, a Palm Tree looks a lot like an Ika.

Have you tried a Gamakatsu EWG worm hook for big bodied baits? I think
you'll like it

4/0 or 5/0 EWG hooks for the Fat Ika/Palm Tree.

Delayed hookset.

I seldom miss or lose one of these baits.

Huck says to use a hook with a gap 2 or 3 times the thickness of the bait,
and then Texpose and tuck the point.
