If the fish doesn't spit up what it ate, then the contents are part of the
fish, even if partially exposed. But if a fish does spit something up,
you're not allowed to shovel it back in. I've seen pros do exactly that
though. When questioned, the logic was that "it was part of the fish when I
caught it". But that doesn't fly if they've culled even one fish during the
day.
