![]() Larry wrote: "riverman" wrote Even if you use IE, the tiny URL is automatically pasted into your clipboard. Once you get the tinyURL, you only have to control-V and it pastes it into your message. I don't even sit on the tinyURL site waiting for the URL to be formed: I go back to the message and hit control-V when I think its ready. I didn't know that, but in Firefox you don't have to go to the tiny url site ... just right click on a blank ( non linked) part of the page, select "create a tiny url" and it's all done in the background OK, I'm in Firefox now. How do I do it? --riverman (bet ya never saw me change g) |

![]() "riverman" wrote OK, I'm in Firefox now. How do I do it? http://tinyurl.com/qyyrl you get extensions after you get the browser ... the one I mentioned is called 'Tiny URL Creator' I also like PDF download, IE View ( opens current page in IE, for those sites that don't understand that IE is history, and write code that only it can deal with ), and TabMix Plus ( gives greater control over tabbed browsing) there are hundreds of extensions, and another nice thing is that you can add search engines to your search box, have it default to google, but say search a dictionary from the same box Firefox takes some learning, but it is a much better browser ( imho, and the ho of millions ) |

![]() "riverman" wrote --riverman (bet ya never saw me change g) hehe, if you fear the mind police watching us all ( they might think that marching to your own drummer and using a better, more intelligent ( ah, less republican?) browser is one step away from open rebellion ), you can set Firefox to report itself to servers as any of several User Agents and "they" will never know G |
