Orvis Pro Guide2 Waders. Opinions?

I've had a number of Orvis waders over the years. All of them leaked
sooner or later. In those days Orvis had a replacement guarantee - no
problem; if you had a leak or tear, they would replace the waders. I
don't believe it is that way anymore.

I'm now using Simms and they are the best I've ever had. I have the
Guide pair. Good fit, wear like stainless steel, and lots of good
features like reinforced knees and bottom, fleece lined pockets to
warm your hands during cold weather, inside and outside pocket to
store stuff, built in gravel guards, and a good set of suspenders.
I've also used Pantagonia waders which I also liked. However, Simms
is #1 in my book. Boots? Try the Chotas and you'll never go to
another boot. Easy on/off with elastic laces. I struggled for years
trying to get my boots off and on. Not anymore with the Chotas. And
if you buy the studded ones, the studs are removable. They are the
most comfortable boot I've tried in 20 years.

I just went with the Simms as well, a little bit more expensive but so far I
really enjoy them.

The Simms Guide look great, more money than I want to spend.

Any comments about Simms RiverTeck, Lightweight Stockingfoot or
Stockingfoot waders?

I've been using the Simms Freestone stockingfoot waders for several years
and have been very satisfied. I had a leak in them the first year, but that
was due to a user-error toenail-with-short-boots incident that is far too
embarrassing to discuss here. These guys are merciless - they'll tease you
until you cry.

I'm about two years into a pair of Simms Freestone waders. Love 'em. No
leaks (knocking on wood), no issues.
