On a recent multi-state trip, I again and again found that to dip my line in the stream behind my hotel (catch and release) for the two hours I would be there I had to buy a 3-day non-resident license with salmon stamp for $25-$35. Needless to say, I took my chances. After all, I have never been approached for a license check in 40 years of fishing. I don't need to buy a non-resident driving license as I travel around this country and I shouldn't have to buy a local fishing license either. A resident season license in any state should suffice. At most, a state should ask that you buy a daily sticker for a reasonable additional fee, like $2. These stickers could be dispensed by machine. Ken C Well, sometime when you're not too busy, why don't you just take over the world. I'm sure we'll all be much happier. Wolfgang |

Hell, he didn't even say if he was a Spey side only scotch drinker, poacher, or if he drank that Island swill too, while poaching. Skwala * I take his posting to mean the water was C & R, not that he necessarily practiced C & R poaching. |
