And it worked! It clearly started a conversation!!

And what was the license fee? $2?

You seem to have left that part out . . .

Ken C

Shoot, I may have gray hair, but I'm not in a nursing home... $2.00, geez.

It was $36.00 + $2.00, at the time, cheap skate.

Really, what a skinflint! This guy sells 6.00USD shirts, for what,
287.00 or something and all he would contrib...oh, wait...I'm sorta
guessing here that you didn't mean Patagonia boy with the "cheap skate"
comment, right?

Heck, next thing ya know, folks will expect Gates to quit using P2P and
actually BUY a song once in a while...

Hey, admittedly, Y. Chouinard shelling out $38.00 didn't make much of a dent
in his wallet... even multiplied across however many states the guy travels
too...it's a damn nice gesture, however.

And I can't see how it was exactly some sort of marketing grandstanding, as
there was only the two of in the shop at the time.

Skwala

Maybe if Ken C. wasn't so poor, he could afford to pop for a license when he
fishes...

Now, now Richard. You know that if that shirt were made by American
workers, production costs would have topped $300!

Well, sure...but I'll bet he buys fishing licenses in every country that
he has sweatshops...just like Kathy Lee Gifford - she takes 1000USD
worth of candy to the kids in her sweatshops every time she goes...yep,
that's right - an entire pound of Rodeo Drive's finest carob truffles
with tofu centers... and they guarantee they are lactose-free, fat-free,
caffine-free, not tested on animals (well, Rosie O'Donnell excepted),
vegan, organic, processed at least 115 nautical miles from the nearest
peanut, and last but hardly least, packed in 100% recycled materials...

Okay, fishing in a place that requires a license is a crime.
I should have said, fishing WITHOUT a license in a place that requires
one is a crime.

No. In most places it is an offense or violation -- jusy like
littering or jaywalking. The first level crime is a misdemeanor.

Let me get this straight. No, it is not a crime. It is an offense,
and the first level of such an offense, called by you a "crime," is a
misdemeanor.
Its great when the guy doesn't even twist my words. He calls the spade
a heart and then a spade in the next sentence. This is fun.

Bill, read the original post. He admitted fishing without a license.

And I did not condone that. I supported the fact of excess costs for
visitor licenses. I even pointed out the excess fees. But some here are
reading comprehension challenged.

I see you are still a stupid ass as always.

No, you don't see anything of the sort. What's more, you don't even
believe that you do. Your pitiful attempts at invective and lying are
as unconvincing and as funny as all the rest of your microcephalic
twaddle.

I guess price of gas is OK with you, as is less overpriced than a
visitors fishing license.

You should be gutshot and left lying in the gutter for your abuses
against an inoffensive and defenseless language.

Wolfgang

And your response is rather putrid! And I do not lie. I do think you
are not very intelligent.

Liar.

Wolfgang

Why would I lie about thinking your are not real smart?
