None of this is scientific or guaranteed to work and the advice to go
up a size is the basic, sound, advice for this. As is often the case, there are exceptions. In my personal experience I see the only difference is in the fish's physical ability to eat the larger bugs and, maybe, they're a bit afraid. One additional thing to try is to fish over deeper water and to try more aggressive retrievals. Best regards, TBone |
