Hmm, pretty cool. No idea. Tried multiple numbers just in case the
symbol was the key. No, each time it popped the appropriate and different symbol. I'm stumped. Frank Reid

You're right. I looked at it for three minutes the first time. With
the change each time and the subset of viable numbers available (any time you add the numbers of a two-digit number and then subtract that sum from the original number, there are only 9 possible answers) after "subtracting," you give the 9 possible answers the same symbol. It will work every time. Frank Reid
