Hi all Well I finally went fishing here in Beaver Dam and caught something. I fished off shore in several places and caught one keeper about 15 1/2 and it felt like a pound and a half. It hit a firetiger secret weapon as I was lifting it out of the water. As it broke the surface the Bass gulped in down. I need to put the battery in the boat and get out there. Unfortunatly there are no good maps of the lake and there are quite a few rock piles that are just below the surface. I have been asking anyone that would listen where the rock piles are and I think I have figured out some of them. Guess I'll just have to take it easy as there are no bouys on them :{ I have the same problem on the river here. There are no good maps of the sandbars, and when I finally figure them out they move. The only thing I can do is mark them on my GPS when I am out fun fishing and hope they haven't moved to far when I am fishing a tournament and moving fast. The advantage to rocks is that they don't generally move too far. Get yerself a nice little GPS map. One that will allow you to store and load waypoints from yer PC. Then start marking all the rocks and such as you come upon them. Sooner or later you will have your own safe high speed corridors all figured out. -- Bob La Londe Fishing Arizona & The Colorado River Fishing Forums & Contests http://www.YumaBassMan.com I got a call today about the possibility of a job back up north so I wouldn't have to worry about this lake. Jesus Dan! Go buy a battery! What do they cost, $60 at Wally-World???? You've been frogging around, fishing from shore when you own a perfectly good boat. Well, ok, it leaks a little bit, but it's still better than being shore-bound! Good luck on the job. NOW GO BUY A BATTERY!!! -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |
