The only thing I know about mexico is it has mexicans, they export tequila
and mexicans, and *real* mexicans that I know make tamales, burritos, and enchiladas. And generally speaking they taste good. This is a very scary paragraph. You and Chuck can swing it all you want, my wife just passed her 10-year remission anniversary and I've gone on out of town fishing trips 15 of the last 45 days with 10 more scheduled in the next 40 days plus the September UP thing. Added to my 3-4 times a week hour or so on the local bass/bream ponds. Life is good for me, for a change. Very cool. Not your fishing (though that is nice), but you're brides anniversary. Congrats from me and mine. Frank Reid |

Especially considering that reports indicate that Uruguayans taste great...less filling, too...(...in honor of the World Cup and its official beer....) Um, pretty damned sure THIS ain't gonna help, R |

Thanks, I wasn;t sure since the sal****er trips were on boats and I wasn't really tested but the smoky trip made me feel good. while I did not hike miles to the streams, I did hike, climb, traverse etc several streams for long periods up there route without getting winded or lingering effects from the back, hip, and knee. I remember that upstream walk to the road on the mad last year had me severly winded. Still too fricking fat but 35lbs less fat than I was. ![]() Wayne |

I re-read that paragraph this morning and had an "oh-****!" moment. Congrats from me and mine. Thank you to you and the others for the well wishes. One day at a time. |

![]() "Cyli" wrote in message ... I think we need some details on the boat story... Other than to say a 24' narrow drift boat with me in the front, poled by a newbie boatsman in back on a sweeper choked winding michigan stream on a moonless foggy night is not exactly for the faint of heart. The manistee is deeper and sandier than the Ausable and I knew we were in trouble when he pulled out a four foot push pole. No need to apologize, as I have no clue any offense has been done to me. Trying to recognize your status as the only regular female poster, while I gather you can handle yourself well, in some circles the dick references would be considered even cruder in the present of females. it's a southern thing. Yep. I think you've got everything. There was some stuff about fishing and even about use of particular flies, but nothing I can recall that was outstanding or terribly innovative. While it would appear I missed some posts about gastro-intestinal procedures and the preceeding prep, there was nothing truly outstanding about that. Thanks Thank you. |

. com... Where abouts were you on the Manistee? If I get out to Michigan next week (big "if"), I think I'll head up to the CCC bridge campground. Nice place, usually empty during the week, gorgeous stretch of river. By next week and if the temps hold steady action should be better all up and down the streams there. The big fish were for the most part being taken on the upper Ausable towards Mio. When I am wading the Manistee I usually access it near the Hole in the Wall or Yellow Trees. I like to float it in between those points but it is one hell of a long float. If you are up to spending a little money on a guide, see if you can get someone to float you from Yellow Trees to the CCC. |

Sorry Jon, I thought it was you at first, but the more I think about it, it was Zimbo. My wife and I had a small Gila mis-adventure this past weekend, [snip]I'll do a small TR in a couple of days. I did hook a few small trout, and we came back safe and sound. Looking forward to it. |
