@trndny07:

Do you truly believe Islamic terrorism exists because of
George Bush?

The level of Islamic terrorism that one finds in Iraq today is almost
directly attributable to GW.

1-If you think that the situation in Iraq is not making the world a less
safe place, you're wrong.

2-You were the one who changed the question. This thread was about
opposition to the war in Iraq, and how Iraqis have experiences problems
because of Islamic terrorists inside their country. As is so recognizable
to us because of the repeated arguments of the administration, you then
responded by linking terrorism in Iraq (which has developed BECAUSE OF the
fall of the Hussein regime) to terrorism as a whole. This wasn't true
before the war, and if its true now, its because of the war.

3- You spoke of Iraq being a killing field before the current war, and then
you point us to a report showing this to be the case prior to the previous
Gulf War. Another ploy of the administration. We effectively made that
government impotent on a global scale with that war. Sure, Hussein whacked
people immediately after he stopped running from the true coalition forces,
but plenty of work was being done to continue to make that government less
powerful. As an aside, many of the weapons and resources that Hussein used
to kill his own people were provided to him by the US, for use against Iran
or for other silly reasons. This is the reason why the current charges
against Hussein in his trial are chicken**** compared to his biggest
crimes--they had to dig up Hussein's crimes against humanity that didn't
implicate the US--and it was not an easy task.
