![]() "Joe" wrote in message .net... In article , says... wrote in message ... Ummmmm.....didn't you trim out the part of my post where Jon Cook tried to explain it to you? Didn't Joe(y) himself explain that that's not what he was saying? Are you just embarrassed because you called someone names for not being able to read when all along it was you who read it wrong? - Ken Umm...Dear Ken the IGNORANT SLUT: Jon's explanation make no sense whatsoever Looks like you folks had quite a day today. I've had worse. Unfortunately I can't access these lists at work so can't join in the fun until the evening. Life can be cruel. Jon and Ken both have it 100% correct. You're a liar. " Joe's meaning (as claimed in his other post): [your bogus claim] [of living in a high-tech mecca] Your interpretation: [your bogus claim of living in] [a high tech mecca] " You read it wrong and it appears to me that you and Wolfgang are too proud or stupid or gutless to admit that you were acting like asses. You read it wrong......or you had no idea what you were saying. Interestingly, it is impossible to tell which is the case. Then again, the evidence also allows the conclusion that you read it wrong AND you had no idea (and still don't) of what you were saying. Hm.......the principle of occam's razor strongly suggests one should take the latter view. O.k., I can live with that. I have no need to engage in ****ing contests with two obviously reading challenged people who have no intention of listening. And yet, here you are. So this is my only rebuttal. Well, we'll see about that. - I did not say or mean or imply that Opie lived in a high-tech mecca. No one has suggested that you did so. What you DID do was suggest that HE said so......when, in fact, he said precisely the opposite. It is endlessly fascinating that you and Jon and kennie cannot grasp this simple fact. English is reputedly a difficult language for non-native speakers to learn but linguists agree that it is no more so than any other for those who grow up enmeshed in it. A vast body of evidence here in ROFF suggests otherwise. ![]() - I assume that Opie knows where he lives and it makes absolutely no sense that I would disagree with him on where he says he lives. I don't believe that his knowledge of geography and his place within a particular bit of it is germaine......nor do you or anyone else involved in this little charade but hey, knock yourself out. - If you insist that I am lying, From here, it doesn't look like there's any question about that. then explain why I posted the unemployment figures for the "hightech" west coast vs North Carolina. Actually, I think it would be more interesting for YOU to explain what the hell that has to do with the question under consideration. At the very least, it provides you with yet another opportunity to to demonstrate that you STILL don't have any idea of what that question is. Last word of advice, and yes I'm sure you'll both have snide little comments throughout. Ouch. You might want to think twice before calling people names over reading ability. Might. Might not. I did a little google searching and you both have a history of reading people's posts wrong. Would it be too much to ask for you to publish a comprehensive list? Maybe we could all learn something from it. Those in glass houses and all that. And all what? Oh and yeah, you can try to fool yourselves all you want, but even you know that you both ****ed up. Everyone else, or at least everyone else who wasn't disgusted by all this stupidity, knows that you two ****ed up too. Mark: "...I can see that you wouldn't understand that knot (obroff) all of us live in the Mecca of hi-tech." Joe: "Remember this started with your bogus claim of living in a 'high-tech mecca'." Learn how to ****in' read, you morons!!! Hee, hee, hee. Wolfgang who just LOVES quotation marks! ![]() |

![]() wrote in message ... In article , says... "Joe" wrote in message Jon and Ken both have it 100% correct. You're a liar. I love it. You actually think that this "liar, liar" defense of yours does something other than highlight the weakness your argument. Actually, it's not a defense.....and I don't think it does anything at all other than to provide just a small impetus to keep you and the rest swinging and twisting in the breeze. Sticks and stones tiny man. Yet more aphorisms! Amazing! Wolfgang who notes that windup toys just keep on getting more and more sophisticated with each passing year. |

![]() "Joe" wrote in message .net... snip ...explain why I posted the unemployment figures for the "hightech" west coast vs North Carolina. snip Well, just to poke the bear and keep this highly entertaining dust-up alive (aka stirring the ****) I'll point out that North Carolina's Research Triangle is every bit as much a "hightech mecca" as California's Silicon Valley or Oregon's Silicon Forest or Washington's whatever cutsie tech nickname they use for the Micro$oft HQ area. In each case those areas make up only a small portion of their respective states, are not the driving force of the state's economy, and do not make up anything approaching a majority of the workforce in their states. So a strong case can be made that the west coast is not materially more "hightech" than North Carolina. Bob Weinberger |

And speaking of poking, er, Da Bears...er, Ken, getting inside toilets at a couple of pork processing plants does not a high-tech mecca make...are you sure you don't mean "Silicone Prairie?" TC, R |
