Default Rapid River tomorrow....hopefully

Hi all:
I'm in Wilton, Maine spending the night with some friends. The plan is
to drive to Andover tomorrow, then up to South Arm and up to Lower
Richardson to camp for a few nights. I have my canoe, and hope to
paddle across to Middle Dam and fish the Rapid for a day or two. Never
been to that part of the state, and although Lakewood Camps looks
absolutely spectacular, I have all my camping and boating gear with me
so it seems a bit excessive to try to get a reservation when I'm all
self-contained (even if they have availability).

I'll post a TR if it all comes together. I'm looking forward to the
adventure.

LOL. No.although that would certainly fit the mold. Its summer
vacation, and I'm back in Maine for the break. I fly back to HK on
August 7, and SWMBO and I think we'll probably stay there for a 6-year
term, as it feels sorta nice to be somewhere that we aren't likely to
be caught up in a coup or something.

OTOH, SWMBO is in Israel at this moment, so we're not THAT far from the
heat.

Glad to here a *highly* paid fella like yourself ("you'reself", in the case
of Kenny J.) can find the time to enjoy a vacation! {:~^ )

Heard a story, on NPR, this morn about he conditions in the Congo. Things
don't seem to have gotten any better since you left, so I guess no one can
blame the situation on you exorbitant salary! {:~^)

Yep, thats how I feel about it. :-)

My friends at the school (one of whom is breaking his contract to avoid
returning) say that things are as disastrous as always, and the
imminent and undelayable elections are already starting to cause riots
and more troubles in the city. I'm glad to be out of there...not
because I feared for my safety most times, but because of the massive
inconveniences of day to day life.

Funny you would insert me into this thread. I was supposed to leave for
Haifa, Israel tomorrow.....I decided that now was not the time to be in
Northern Israel.

I didn't want you to feel let out? I mean you have jumped in on the last
two threads, to question my rationale, in which I have participated.

Feel free to question anything that I have said to Myron, as it is your
nature, right?

Op --Haifa, Israel. Hmmm....rockets red glare and all that. Please don't
let our little discussion stop ya!--
