Default Going to Canuckistan

Well, SWMBO and I are off in search of cooler weather tomorrow.
We'll be staying in Calgary for a few days, with the idea that I'll get
some fishing in on the Highwood west of Longview for part of one day.
If things fall into place, I'll also get a few hours on the Crowsnest
early next week. (Maybe not a good idea as that will be after the long
weekend, but that's how it's shaping up.)

This is not really a fishing trip, but a trip for SWMBO to see her
newest grand-daughter (jeezus, that makes me a step-grandad twice
over), and for us to see some scenery and get the hell away from triple
digit temps for a while.

Hopefully I'll catch a few fish and if I do, I'll release them back
into the river just to **** Tim off.

You ladies be good and don't fight too much while I'm gone. I might
even check up on you from time to time. :-)

I remember needing a trout stamp or some such. Be careful to get all the
Canukistanian paperwork right.

Thanks, Scott ... I've already got my WIN (Wildlife Identification
Number) from my last trip there, and all I'll need to pick up is my
license. And they sell them in Canuckistani Tire stores, so I
shouldn't have any problems getting one.

And of course you need to fish with only barbless hooks in Alberta,
because we want to release them in good shape while we're "golfing".
;-) But I only tie on barbless or with barbs crushed anyway, so that
won't be an issue.

last time I was there you needed no additional stamps etc to fish in
Alberta. The license is "one size fits all"
