Tom, Thanks for the TR. I am planning on going up to Penns the
weekend of 9/23. Actually, I'm going up, I hope a couple of days early
to fish before the game on Saturday.

we listened to parts of the Notre Dame game. Stay on the stream, if at all
possible......way less depressing.

I did buy one of those bamboo rods from Jonas and got to meet the
builder. I had planned on never getting one because I never found one
that cast the way I liked. I figured that the only reason to own one
was to have a classic. My mind got changed when I cast a "Dream
Catcher" by Wyatt Dietrich.

Jonas had me out with that one, and a shorter lightline 'boo. I am way too

cheap to invest in such, but did enjoy casting the one you selected. Try and
make it up in late
October. The streamer fishing has been great the past few years.

About three years ago (September) I was fishing with a woolly bugger
just up from the bridge and hooked into moby-brown. I had him on for
about 10 minutes until he made his way under the roots near the bank
and broke me off. I was major league bumbed. What, other than woolly
buggers should I have for late October?

I would suggest LARGE bucktail streamers in orange or yellow.

It was all dry flies last weekend on the lower C&R.
I had some of the best late summer dry fly action I've ever seen on
Penns.
Slate Drakes #12 from 8am till 2pm.
Ants the rest of the day.
