We have the ability to produce half & half blades but don't have any now.
Sounds like a good pattern, though. You should make some up yourself and give them a try. What I recommend you do is buy a blue permanent ink, felt-tip pen and trick out a few of your chrome or nickel blades. I've used a red Sharpie on our nickel blades, and most people can't tell the difference between the shiny, red blades I make by hand and the more expensive powder-coated ones. The reflective red (or in your case, blue) finish will be just as effective in the water. The color is easily touched up after an encounter with a fish, rock, or wood scratches the in, and you can remove it and change your pattern easily if you decide to try a different color or pattern. Modifying large, white willowleaf blades by adding chartreuse spots, black ribs, eyes and red gill slits is a trick that one of our Prostaff uses frequently for Kentucky Lake smallmouth. He adds the details to the convex side of the blade, so as the blade twirls it produces a strobe effect. Joe |
