Yup, GOD BLESS THE SOUTH! Rob E Lee's probably rolling over in his grave
now that the top 2 bass fishermen are both YANKEES lmao... Warren "Damifino" wrote in message . .. wrote in message oups.com... I agree with js about the behavior of the classic. Must be a deep south thing. ![]() had class because there was little money in fishing and they did it because they loved it. I could probably have handled the distruction of the running light since he is generally viewed as a high energy person, but throwing dead fish back was totally unethical in my book. I agree js.. There's a difference though between high energy and being spoiled. The news said there is so much "pressure" on the fishermen in that particular tournament that it caused his behavior to be the way it was....(The same media in this land that says the reason Foley wanted sex with underage boys is because he was abused and had a drinking problem). So that gave IKE an excuse anyway.... I live in Alabama on Lay Lake, the lake Yelas won the classic on as well as the classic being held here again in 2007. A lot of your "old school" professionals are southerners.. Denny Brauer was a brick mason before becoming a fisherman...(That's probably what's wrong with his back!). Bill Dance of course needs no introduction. Ray Scott is still involved with a lot of events involving fishing and still lives on that immaculate land in south Alabama and the list goes on..... Times are changing in our world and the "old timers" with their values and morals are dying away and taking them to the grave with them. IKE is a good example of a spoiled brat who probably hasn't worked a hard days work in his life... At least Forest Woods done the right thing regardless of what it cost's him. |
