Hey... how 'bout that. Nice of them to mention us. Thanks for finding this
reference, Huck... I received word of BassPack's victory a few minutes after weigh-in. Craven and Freeman battled strong winds pushing 6-foot waves, which made their shallow water patterns impractical. Soft plastics and slow-moving baits were difficult to use in the high winds, so while they might have preferred to fish the shore, I was told they backed out into 18-foot depths and relied on crankbaits to haul in their winning limit.
