Got a ticket for Game 5 of the World Series so I'm
driving down to St. Louis to watch Game 4. Hopefully. The first attempt at Game 4 was rained out last night so Game 5 tix become Thursday tix and Wednesday Game 4 tix become Friday Game 5 tix. With more rain in the forecast today and tomorrow there's no tellin' when these games will be played, meanwhile I've got hotel reservations all over the damn place. Ah well, what's the worst case scenario for tonight; sit around the ballpark quaffing a few Budweisers in the rain for a couple of hours before they cancel the game and send us out into the night. No big deal. I'll be the guy in the Cardinal Red poncho sitting in the balcony just above first base. GO CARDS !! -- Ken Fortenberry |

The other day I overheard a girl talking excitedly about how the Detroit Tigers shirt she was wearing came with a free towel embroidered with the Tigers logo. I had to remind her that the free towels are for drying the tears that come when the Tigers inevitabley blow the series.G. Jeremy Moe wondering if this will be just another lost hope for us Michiganders. |

Yeah, well, I'm sure they'll all appreciate the effort, considering the historically abysmal television ratings for the last game. /daytripper (thank god for the discovery channel...) |

![]() "Ken Fortenberry" wrote ... GO CARDS !! As much as it pains me, I have to say that the Cards played really well and gulp deserved the win. Not to minimize the fact that Detroit served the win on an error-encrusted platter, but the Cardinals played well. The Tigers played like a bunch of high-schoolers. Congrats, and enjoy it. Dan ...next year, I tell ya. Wait 'till next year.... |
