I think there's an echo in here....
Btw, caught an 18" smalley near st. louis yesterday. Streams running high but clear. Not many nice days left. Bill "Charles Summers" wrote in message ... I don't understand the problem with top posting. Several groups I use quite a lot for business all top post, and I prefer it. If there's a stack of conversation on a message, a reader doesn't need to scroll down to see a bottom post, and if you are reading a number of postings in a thread, you don't need to scroll down past the same stuff over and over. Just wondering Bill Bottom posted reply just to be ****y too: Some people just want to be ****y bill... do what makes you feel good. Top-posting has killed this newsgroup. If not for top-posting all members of the professional bass tour would not only post here daily with tips and anecdotes about the pro tour, they would also give away marketing freebies like rods, reels, trolling motors, outboards and big honkin' red metal flake bass boats. But people like you insist on top-posting. Don't blame me. -- Ken Fortenberry |

The convention in those Usenet newsgroups that are active, vital and full of activity is the Usenet standard of putting the reply below the text you're replying to, like I'm doing here. Too many people in this newsgroup are top-posters and that'll kill a newsgroup faster than a 6-4-3 kills a big inning. Bite me Ken. :} |

Just wondering Bill Bill, Actually bottom posting must be accompanied with the proper snipping of verbiage that is un-necessary. Just quoting, snipping and the main topic along bottom posting is the best way to keep everyone understanding who said what. I have been known to top post in this group when it is short and to the point. Remove the x for e-mail reply 1996 HD Sportster 1200S. N9JBF. Well, it has been quiet, and I do wish I had something to post but that's just not to be. My son and I went out fishing on Monday, unfortunately, I missed the only fish that decided to bite. Where did you go? I suppose it was a toothy critter :{ Now, there's 8 inches of freshly fallen snow, so my year might just be done. 2 inches here and my battery was dead when I tried to leave for a fish fry. I got it started though...Not much will keep me from the Friday nite Walleye fry here in town. But, if you have a question or concern, I can certainly give my opinion on that. I just don't have any fresh experiences to discuss. Ooh, ooh, I have a question. Why do people think this group is dead when others don't post things for them to read? My concern is...Do you know anything about fishing the Mighty Mississippi at Alma? Head hunter called today to ask if I would be interested in spending a year or so there. I had a kidney biopsy on Monday and got the results back yesterday. Bottom line: I've got *at least* one more fishing season in me, assuming I don't get run over by a bus. ;-) I didn't get the best news possible, but I sure didn't get the worst either. Yesterday I was still a little bummed, but today I feel relieved enough to have a little fun with my friends in ROFB. And thank you for not top posting. ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

Driving home from work today I saw some guys fishing from the bank near my
house and some more guys loading their boat on the trailer. What really sucks is when it is almost 80 degrees in November and you can't go fishing. That's my on topic post for this week. ![]() "Charles Summers" wrote in message ... Here's a solution to the lack of activity. Say something stoopid about the Boomerang Fishing thinggy.
