You really know how to hurt a guy, don't you? -)

But if you really want a report, here it is: I'm not catching a freakin'

Heck I've been kicking some butt, I've been nailing the Spots, no large
mouths, but a bass is a bass :-), nothing over 4 lbs over the last few
weeks, but I've been using a 9 1/2 foot steel head rod with 6 lb test,
makes landing these little guys a challenge

Where's the challenge in landing a 4 lb. fish on 6 lb. test ?
Hell, you just winch 'em in, what's the big deal ?

I suggest that catching a 4 lb. fish on 6 lb. test
usually ain't all that much of a challenge.

Now, catching a 15 lb. fish on 6 lb. test *that's*
a challenge.

Driving home from work today I saw some guys fishing from the bank near
my house and some more guys loading their boat on the trailer.
What really sucks is when it is almost 80 degrees in November and you
can't go fishing. That's my on topic post for this week.

Here's a solution to the lack of activity. Say something stoopid about
the Boomerang Fishing thinggy. That'll get things moving!

Never in my 6+ years have I seen such little activity here.

You are a prime example of a horse ass. Bottom posting was the thing with
KSR33's. But that time has passed. Same with VT52's and DEC Vax 780, and
it's forerunners. You could not easily move around the screen and since a
KSR was a paper I/O there was not backing up.

Of course I'm hoping for bigger fish, a mouth ago I caught a 6 lb 3 Oz
LM on that rig

I've caught a 22 lb fish on 4 lb test That one was a flat head cat
caught on a single cricket while bream fishing, 1 hour and 43 min. fight

I've also caught a 12 lb hybrid strip (twice the fight of a bass) on 4
lb test. 48 min fight.

I know what fighting good fish on light tackle is all about, it's just
more fun than my favorite bait caster loaded with 14 lb sufix catching 4
lb and under fish

I have seen 6 lb and under bass break 10 lb line more than once when
people tried to horse them in.

I keep the drag on my 2500 (filled with 6 Lb) set at 2 lbs, I could be
using 4 Lb test and I would not know the difference in the battle,
between it and 6 lb, with that drag setting, plus with that St Croix 9
1/2 foot steel head rod it's a blast to catch those 4 lb fish, but with
that rig I could land a 10 lb or better fish, it would just take a
while, and there just can't be any snags anywhere close by.
