I was fishing the edge of a sunken rockpile. Now, there's 8 inches of freshly fallen snow, so my year might just be done. Get that truck equipped with a plow to keep some launches open longer :} I remember my first year in Merrill, the new head of parks, a woman, closed the ramps a month earlier than the previous person did. Was she surprised how many fisherman and trappers showed up at her office the following day!! 2 inches here and my battery was dead when I tried to leave for a fish fry. I got it started though...Not much will keep me from the Friday nite Walleye fry here in town. ***We ended up with a final total of 12 inches of snow. AND, I managed to screw up the snowblower. They don't work at all as a chipper shredder, and after trying to run a small log through the blower, I kind of bent things up..... But, I did get out for a fish fry at the Al-Gen. SNIP My concern is...Do you know anything about fishing the Mighty Mississippi at Alma? Head hunter called today to ask if I would be interested in spending a year or so there. ***I do know that there is some pretty good walleye/sauger fishing in the Alma area. The bass fishing should be good in the backwater areas, and there's a lot of good hunting in the area as well. That's Buffalo county, home of some amazingly large whitetail, IF you can find a place to hunt...... Take the job Dan, Well, I should know by Tues, Wed if they are going to offer it to me. I would rather have the TN job but they are sitting on their hands yet. Remove the x for e-mail reply 1996 HD Sportster 1200S. N9JBF.
