Thanks for the "rolling the joint" trick to get the thing apart. That is the only negative I have. The staff is at least 20 years old and I don't know how long the stretch chord inside will last before it deteriorates. So far, so good. You ought to be able to replace the shock cord if/when it breaks down. If you don't know how, or don't have the right material, see if there is a camping supply shop near you, as most tent poles are now shock corded. They might have parts and/or knowhow. --riverman |
