XL is limp and casts well, XT is tough, but a little stiffer. Both seem to meet their line test ratings as labeled. I have caught a lot of fish with them in the past. For Flourocarbon I like Seguar in 12lb and larger. For smaller I like the Maxima. Have not used the larger sizes of Maxima. For mono I use almost exclusively Suffix Seige. For braid I like Stren Super Braid, but I have had a few suprises with it in 20 & 30 lb. I am considering going back to Power Pro for the smaller sizes. Best of luck with whatever you choose. You guys do have some funny replies here! I guess I'm the only one who
