there are folks who might have been interested, but weren't following the
"to post, or not to post" thread.

Here is a link to pictures of a deer taken on our property in the Pisgah
National Forest. The deer was taken by a co-workers son and the bottom
photo was taken by my game camera. They are the same deer. Kyle had taken
the photo to school and showed it to all of his buddies virtually, and then
was able to take the deer to school, in the back of his dads pickup and show
it to his buddies live, so to speak :~^ )

Nice buck... The game camera photo appears to have scared him, neat picture.

Here in the Northwest, we would consider that a 5 x 6. If it was a 5 x 5 we
consider it a 5 point.

I bet he was a very happy kid.

Thanks,
JT

Yeah, you can tell his reactions were very quick. The flash startled him
and he had time to cock his head back before the camera triggered. I had
anothere photo of the deer at a scrape, a day or two before he was taken,
but I gave both photos to Kyle for his hunting jounal.

Apparently they are scored differently in these parts. Our part of the
state with the exception of Wilkes county, isn't considered a BIG deer
region. This deer was young, perhaps 3 to 3 1/2 years, but he did have a
nice rack.

Yes, very happy. His dad is quite religious and told me that he had not
only prayed that Kyle would get that deer, but he also prayed that he
wouldn't see the deer himself. A bit extreme to my thinkin', but to each
his own.

I was happy that Kyle killed the deer, rather than some of the other folks
that hunt near our property. Kyle's a good 17 y.o. kid.

I didn't/won't get to hunt this year, so I didn't have to pray that I
wouldn't see the deer :~^ )

Thanks,
JT
