In article ,
says...

Saw them here an hour or so ago -- to the south!

Three hours later, they are still going strong here in
ND.

I *wish* what we have here was fog. It considerably more toxic than
that, and its pretty bad this week.

Besides, from this latitude, I almost gotta look down to face north.

Huge solar flare. Causing all kinds of problems.

The solar activity is reaching major storm levels
(http://www.sec.noaa.gov/). As an interesting side note, major
activity like this heats our atmosphere. This heating causes
expansion. Not only does the atmosphere expand outwards, but also
inwards. This inward expansion causes pressure on the earth,
disrupting to a small extent the rotation of the earth. That being
said, the disruption can pressage an increase in tectonic activity
including volcanic and earthquake. A major solar flare on December
20th, 2004 immediately preceded the Sumatran earthquake on the 26th of
that year.

I saw something on Discover or National Geographic Channels where a guy
predicts earthquakes by the full moon, I believe that was it anyway?

Anyone else see that? Apparently, the guy has accurately predicted several
quakes, including the San Francisco quake during the World Series game.
They said he was fire from his job, for causing public fear or some such
thing.
