My friends who go every year for a month say it is cheaper than fishing in
Montana except for the airfare. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA Web site: www.kiene.com "riverman" wrote in message ... "Bill Kiene" wrote in message t... You don't have to shovel snow this winter. You can take some pretty inexpensive do-it -yourself trips to places that are in their summer now. We have some friends who go down to New Zealand every winter and tour around on their own for a month or more. They rent a car for a month and stay in affordable cottages. It's no more expensive than fishing on your own in Montana. My guess is that NZ is quite a bit cheaper than Montana, airfare excluded. Roger and I rented a car for US$150 for a week, and another US$150 for a week at a cottage on a trout stream, 2 BR, 1bath, full kitchen facilities. --riverman |
