Default illegally won thousands of dollars at several fishing tournaments

That's a good start, Joe, but IMHO they should both also forfeit: A) their
thumbs, so they can't use baitcasting reels, & B) their index fingers, so
they can't use spinning reels. They will still be able to compete again, but
only using ultra-light fly gear of some kind, maybe with those cruds
operating those reels with their tongues!

Lab~rat, according to the account, Nesmith was fined an amount equal to
approximately half of the team's estimated winnings of $15,000, plus loss
of
the boat and some tackle. Thomas will presumably be treated the same. When
all is said and done they won't retain any winnings. Add to that the scorn
of their peers, loss of reputation and standing in the community,
prohibition from owning a fishing license for a period of time and an
indefinite term on tournament fishing blacklists.... A net loss for both
men
by any accounting.

Half the winnings, $250 fine and $148 court costs? Except for the 'no
fishing license' thing, it sounds like they came out ahead...

Geez Bob, I hope I don't ever get on your bad side! Couldn't agree more
with you and couldn't say it better myself.

Now that's why I never fish in tournaments. The rules always seem a
little too strict...
