Those were supposed to be real cannons with touch. Makes me think
I'm coming to this 9wt quest just a little too late.

If the weather is condusive to fishing Fennimore next weekend, I can
drop an 8wt BIIx and an 8wt Sage XP for you to play with on my way
north. I know they're not 9wts but you could get the idea. The Xi2 I
fished with belongs to someone else so can't bring that one.

Whoa, is it that time already? When are you heading up? My schedule looks
clear at the moment.

Joel? George? Anybody else?

Wolfgang

Otherwise....get one that comes in five pieces.
You won't regret being able to pack that rod...

I'll keep that in mind this spring when shopping for one. Thanks for
posting.

Thanks, appreciate it, but I wouldn't want to mess up a good
8wt line by dragging it over ice, slush, and hopefully by
this weekend, mud.

I didn't buy a Wisconsin last year, I got Minnesota, Michigan,
North Carolina, Missouri and, of course, Illinois but no
Cheesehead license, so I'm gonna wait until the 2007's go on
sale March 9th before getting a Wisconsin license. Hope the
weather man cooperates for you.

This might help you decide. Certainly not a definitive test, but there's
some good info. By the way, they are testing 8wts, but I would guess it
could crossover to 9wts.

Thanks !! That's a great collection of info all under one roof.

Nodak is on my "to do" list but not for pike. I saw more pheasant
right alongside a couple of hundred miles of I94 than I've ever
seen anywhere else in my life. It was amazing.

I've had roffian homebrew, Danl's and Charlie Wilson's if I remember
right. I think about it every time I rip off a good fart because
there's more flatulence in a gallon of homebrew than pheasants in
Nodak !

But what the hell, I can handle it if you can. ;-)

When I saw Joel at the show in Chicago, he said he probably wouldn't be
going.

If I go, I would head up Friday after work and grab a hotel somewhere
between Rockford, IL and Fennimore. However the preliminary forecast I saw
has the highs staying under 30 and the possibility of snow showers which
won't bug me on the road too much but I never really cared much for clearing
ice from the guides. I will recheck the forecast on Wed or Thur and decide
for sure then.

No way. Ugly weather. I'll wait. By the way Vang's Home Brew is the
best in the world!
