Have not done fly fishing for many years. Never fished for trout. Have
a chance to take either a float trip of several miles down a river or
fish a few thousand private feet of "trophy trout" river. Any reason to
take one over the other? Both trips guided. Thanks. Ed

Go on the one where it's OK to bonk a few for dinner.

Guilt replaced the creel

Isn't it just about time for you to disappear for a while again?

Wolfgang
guilt debased the meal.

Even trying to envision what that might be like is hazardous. I just tried
it......blood pressure, pulse and respiration dropped through the floor.

Luckily, at the last moment, just as my eyes were beginning to roll back in
my head and my extremities were going cold, I had a vision......I saw
kennies and.....and mikies and tommies (um, we're clear on which tommies
we're talking about here.....right?) and davies and timmies
and.....dicklets.....running amok over the landscape slapping a thick coat
of hate and blather on everything their malformed flippers could reach, with
nothing at all in the whole wide world to stop them! "This shall not come
to pass!" quoth I, and I stood up on my hind legs, shook it off, rubbed some
dirt on it, and clumb back into the saddle. The rest, you know. Well, up
to now. The rest.......well, you know that too, ainna?

Wolfgang
stirred but not shaken.

ya know, Wolfie......sometimes I think you give this stuff WAY too much
thoughtg.
Tom
p.s. Will you be in the asadi-mobile when it rolls through
Penn's valley?? That is, assuming he makes it to this neck of the woods on
his spring trek, as he CAN get distracted......

It helps drown out the voices.

Sometimes.

Slim possibility. VERY slim. I owe a couple of long overdue visits to old
friends who know that I've been east enough to drop in several times in the
last few years. They show signs of beginning to fail to see the charm in my
boyish delinquency.

That's easy to get around......BE the distraction!

I'm glad to hear you're coming up (although there's east and then
*really* east - kinda like dawn over Marblehead.)

Penns looks less and less likely. I have been threatened with dire
consequences if I fail to show up at the aforementioned old friends' house
and stay a couple of days. Actually, he doesn't scare me......but I am
moved by his piteous whining about what SHE will do to both of us.

who, as a public service, advises one and all to NEVER have an ex-girlfriend
whose best friend still likes you.....and has much to teach torquemada about
cruelty.
