I have to disagree. I hate Ike's antics BUT he has interested a lot of
kids in fishing. Same with Roland with this TOY. If it gets kids to
try fishing what is the harm?


That 'toy' qualifies as crap.


And it also qualifies as a gun, which some parents find giving their
children objectionable.

That aside, I think the gimmick that it is a projectile toy is more
than the gimmick that it is a unique fishing rod...

My friend Gil is a fishing guide. His three year old grandson was given one
of these by one of his aunts. Gil said the reel actually isn't too bad for
a spincast reel.

What we both find hilarious is the kid won't use it for fishing, he'd rather
hunt the family cat with it! Precocious little bugger.

Gil said that as a fishing tool, it's crap, but for cat hunting, it's pretty
good! :-)
