anything that YOU want to see in this newsgroup. You have clearly made
your
choice. The rest of us are left to make our own determinations about how
much consideration went into the process. This is not a diffcult task.

Perhaps you should be incensed and disgusted that asshole reprobate
scumbags
like McCain are able to roam free in the spotlight and to repreent and
speak
for you ... And to put you and your life and this planet in jeapordy.

If you pay close attention here for a while, I think you'll discover that
I
can pretty much hold my own against anyone who presumes to speak for me.
If
not, others can confirm it for you.

Perhaps you should be ****ing disgusted and outraged with the
political

system about which there is very little that you can do anyway ...
except
to
register your utter disgust nad perhaps go fishing

I am disgusted and outraged by gravity, aging, sleet, ticks, mosquitoes,

So, should I register my disgust and outrage with ALL these things and
people EVERY time some dumbass feels the need for a bit of attention, and
thus improve the overall climate in this newsgroup?....or just before I
perhaps go fishing?

Until they **** uop our planet even more

Well, unless I misread the signs, you ain't stopped 'em yet, Sparky.

These fools McCain, Edwards at al are just useless andd loud mouthed
mutha
****as!

Which, presumably, no one here would ever have figured out, huh? Again, I

thank you on behalf of all of ROFF for this startling revelation. You've
left us with much to think about.

It is even somewhat cathartic to say it.

Uh huh, and that's what we all come here for.....your catharsis

And for enlightening you politically - I expect no payment
Altho if you want to send campaign $$$ my way - instaed of supporting

Doesn't cost me anything.

Many things. I'm doing several of them even as we speak. For example, I'm
doing laundry, scanning Becky's old photos.....and I just finished washing
my car windows and applying a nice coat of Rain-X to the windows, mirrors
and headlights in anticipation of an upcoming road trip. Later today, I'm
going to change the oil in my car, install new windshield wipers, and make a
trip to Mercado El Rey to get supplies to make enchiladas for dinner guests
this evening. In the interstices, I go out on the deck in the back yard to
smoke a cigarette, sip some coffee (which will be replaced around
mid-afternoon by a nice cold beer or perhaps a glass of Black Box cabernet)
and enjoy the splendid (if long overdue) weather, and then I come in and sit
at the computer for a few moments, while the spin cycle finishes, and slap
you around a bit.

You?

Yes, and it shows in your usual quality.

Fool!

I hesitate to interject a serious question here, but does that Rain-X stuff
really work?

It really does. There's nothing like a fresh coat of Rain-X on the
windshield., bombing along the highway in a down pour, without needing to
operate the wipers. It's a surreal experience.

The down side is it's a pain to refresh.

What he said, in spades. As a rule, I'm not real big on doing product
endorsements. Rain-X is one of the few exceptions. This stuff is little
short of miraculous. In addition to making water roll off magically, it
also helps keep all the nasty crap that hits your windshield from sticking
as tightly as it ordinarily would.

Caveat: How effectively water is shed is in part a function the airstream
flowing over your vehicle. This is variable due to speed and the
configuration of your vehicle. That said, it is almost certain that you
will be VERY happy with it.

The down side is it's a pain to refresh.

One man's meat.....

I actually enjoy the process.

By the way, I'm always surprised by how long an application lasts. I
typically get at least two months out of it.

Well then, let me ask this - when the application expires/wears
off/whatever, are you no worse off than you were before? That is, I assume
this is not a permanent commitment that you *must* renew?

Nah - it's not a commitment in perpetuity. If you stop adding the stuff the
windshield might appear a bit hazy in time but you can just buff the
windshield to get what's left to shine again. Eventually you'll be back to
where you began...

I'm not prepared to state that it can't happen, but I've never seen so much
as a hint of the hazing that Tripper mentioned. My own experience has been
that you just notice after a while that the water no longer beads up and
blows off as well as it did. Given enough time, the effect disappears
entirely. Not surprisingly, the duration is affected by dust, washing, and
even how frequently the windshield wipers are used......but it's always long
enough to justify the half hour or so it takes to treat the windows, mirrors
and headlights (assuming they are glass.....I don't recall what the
directions say, but I never apply it to plastics).

Bottom line: the desired results will probably make it a lifetime
commitment......unwanted consequences won't.

Wolfgang

Well since you ask
I went out and split big some wood w my new electric DR log splitter
and then I am going for a trail ride on my 150 cc Honda w my son in law - on
his quad

and now I am ready to slap you back - bitch!

This missive took about 12 seconds

Then -- just to keep on the fishing topic - I am going to catch a rainbow
trout "out back".
