It depends on the border droid. It is *not* illegal to take bear

clearly labelled *BEAR* spray and not personal defense pepper
spray. Most of the morons on the Canuckistan side of the border
are unaware of this and will confiscate any and all pepper spray.
They'll either mail it to you in the states at your expense or
hold it for you at the border until you come back. There's no
problem bringing bear spray back into the states.

Anymore we just lie when asked if we have bear spray because we
know it's not illegal and you can never be sure about the border
droids.

I would not screw around w the border guards
There are many of them looking to make a name for themselves and to pull
their guns
You would be asking to be the reason for all this and with the cost of
pepper spray
It just is NOT worth it.
Buy it in Canada if you need it

I didn't "screw around" with them. When the first moron insisted
that he had to confiscate my perfectly legal bear spray I politely
asked to talk to his boss. When his boss insisted that he had to
confiscate $100 worth of bear spray I politely pointed to the
canister noting that not only did it say "Bear Spray" on it, it
also had a ****ing *picture* of a goddamn *BEAR* on it.

Upon further reflection, they may have just been pretending to be
slack-jawed, ignorant morons. Perhaps they had an under-the-table
deal with the only bear spray source in Thunder Bay. If so, they
were damn good actors. And they never pulled their guns. ;-)

They often don't have to pretend and sometimes they are itchin to get people
twitching
Because sometimes authority figures need to prove their masculinity and if
you give them an excuse it could be you they pull it on!
You were lucky.
I would not chance it for such a trivial item.

I learned my lesson. Anymore I hide my bear spray in the bottom

Is there anyone on this list that you could call for bail money?

Oh, hell yeah. As much as he likes to be a snide and pompous
putz on roff my good pal rw would bail me out in an instant.
And if the putz was unavailable my dear friend Little Wolfie
would surely put aside the nasty jerkitude he displays here
and mortgage his house, if need be, on my behalf. Despite all
the bickering, we really are just one big happy family here
on roff.

Wanna take a poll?

OK Roff listers

If Ken Fortenberry was arrested for bringing an illegal substance into
Canada
and before he went in - perhaps to spend some time as some large male's
sidekick (for lack of a better term)
Who would bail him out?

I nust admit that I might throw a few coins in
Anyone else?

Fred

Who on this list would bel him out?

Fred
