Yes, those were the days of $200 waders for 20 days of fishing. And
in one case, $250 for 3 days. Nothing worse than a catostrophic wader
failure when you're in Labrador. Well, maybe a stick in the eye is
worse, cttoi.

Well, maybe, but it certainly makes trivial things like starving
children, war, poverty, and disease pale in comparison...OTOH, maybe
Fiona Apple and her husband can book yer ass into someplace where you
can see some of the world that isn't Orvis-recommended...someplace
actually extreme. And if they can't, let me know...I'll get ya into a
place or two that'll cause a leak in your G3s...from the inside, at
least...

Richard, I don't live the privileged life that you do. I made my
money the old fashion way - I earned it. I didn't get it from Mumzy
and Daddy, or Grandmama or Papa. I have been to some of the "extreme"
places you speak of. In fact, I've lived there. Ever seen Rio,
Panama, the Phillipines, the Azores? Ever been to Colombia or
Guatamala? Try "Little Vietnam" in Colon, Republic of Panama where the
air is filled with the smell of feces and urine. If you wade in the
"streams" in Olongapo, Phillipines, be sure you wear Simms, because
you don't want leaky waders in that ****, because it is, literally,
****.

Of course you probably have been to worse places, but you saw it from
the back seat of your limo while Jeeves drove you past the dirty
masses. If you got off your fat ass and out of your chauffeur driven
luxo barge and went into some of these places, you would probably not
want to talk about it

Where were you after Katrina? Complaining about how all your stuff
was damaged and to hell with everyone else. While others went to
Louisiana and Mississippi and tried to help those less fortunate, you
sat on your ass and complained. While others gave large sums to the
unfortunate, you were counting your lost dollars. All you did was
complain, complain, complain. You are a pathetic human being,
Richard.

Now, go fishing, and please, PLEASE do it yourself. Don't let Jeeves
hook the fish and you land it. And if Jeeves complains about carrying
your sorry ass to the water's edge, whip him. That is the way of you
old southern slave masters, isn't it?

Not to intrude reality into a good rant but you're way off base
on this one Louie. Richard and his girlfriend were most gracious
hosts when Kristine was in New Orleans helping put some libraries
back together and Kristine told me they were both quite obviously
involved in relief and rebuilding efforts. Oh, and Richard isn't
fat.

Back to your regularly scheduled rant.

While I appreciate the defense, it really isn't necessary. Anyone who
knows me, well, knows me, and anyone who doesn't and takes such stuff as
truth isn't worth worrying about...but hey, as always, EMMV...

Wow. double surprise. All I can remember his him complaining about
the aftermath of Katrina and how bad HE had it. And he's not fat?
And he has a *girlfriend*. Wow, make that a triple surprise.

Well, **** fire and save matches...it was AT LEAST 8 hours before Uncle
Dickey had the boys at, um, Hiliberten send a fresh cocktail shaker and
some Perrier ice so that Jeeves could shake up a cocktail...good God,
man, it was unsavilezed...I almost resorted to going fishing or
something common...

And yet again, knowing this won't help,

See, this is EXACTLY what endears you to all of us. Your saintly abnegation
in pursuit of justice and equality for the less fortunate shines forth in
everything you do and say. It is true that this makes it more difficult for
us to focus on the comparitively more frivolous (although infinitely
valuable....in its context) wealth of knowledge and probity you bring to all
others questions and discussions, but I'm sure I speak for everyone here in
declaring that knowing the world is a better place for it makes the effort
worthwhile.

OTOH, maybe
Fiona Apple and her husband can book yer ass into someplace where you

As insufficient as our paltry imaginations doubtless are, we are
nevertheless all aquiver with speculation on what you COULD show us....if
you really wanted to.....which, of course, you don't.....I mean, why would
you.....right?.....YMMV.....HTH.

Wolfgang
well, he COULD!, you know.....if he wanted to.....if we were worthy.....if
we could handle it.
