When it was a buck a gallon, how much were you making a year? $25k? $30K? Compared with Europe, consider yourself lucky. And, while you rubbing your lucky rabbits foot, tell the guvment to start building more refineries. The last one built was 30 years ago. That would help to keep the price down, btw. And don't forget to lobby for more drilling in Alaska. And off shore. You want cheap oil, Fred, we'll get it for ya, but you hafta do your part to. Sincerely (really!), Dave Before the clowns in power destroy our planet drilling for more oil and exploding more bombs - Go fishing! The brook trout are beautiful up in that part of Maine and tasty too. In 10 20 or -50 years they won't be there. One would think that with all the money and technology at our disposal that instead of spending obscene amounts of money on Iraq , Vietnam , Afghanistan, Raytheon, KBR and Haliburton & Dick Cheney's pockets that we could have dedicated a search for an alternative fuel source that would not destroy the planet. But why would those in power cut into the profits of the international Saudi -American and whatever else - oligarchy. I don't want to hear how lucky we are compared to the Europeans That is bull**** ! Oil company execs spout that kind of **** while laughing at the stuopid consumers. and Good riddance to dead Falwells and this thread! Am I happy he's dead? Not really! But it couldn't happen to a better man! Sincerely Fred |
