Thanks Charles....manual start 25hp mercury...so no worries about the
motor starting, just want to run my lights and locators without adding a third batery! On May 22, 9:25 am, "Charles Summers" wrote: Sure... just use battery number two as your third battery to run lights etc from. Now that I've answered your question... there's nothing wrong with what you are wanting to do, except that if you completely drain your trolling batteries you will have a hard time starting your motor. wrote in message oups.com... Maybe this is a simple question, but i need help. Setting up a new boat and i have wired in a 24 volt system for my trolling motor. Positive of battery #1 goes to positive on TM, Negative on #2 goes to Neg. on TM, jumper between #1 negative and # positive. Here is my question: i do not want a third battery on board, so is there a way i can run my locators and lights from the current battery(s)? Any help would be appreciated!~ randy- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |

Sounds like you're good to go! Just be sure to use the second battery, not
the first one. wrote in message oups.com... Thanks Charles....manual start 25hp mercury...so no worries about the motor starting, just want to run my lights and locators without adding a third batery! |
