Default So much for the "exercise"!

I am trying to estabish a lttle healthier lifestyle...eating better, a
couple less cold MGD's, and some walking/jogging. It's about 2 miles
around the lake, and I have committed to walking/jogging it every
evening. First couple of rounds were no problem...a fun and scenic walk.
Then I decide, why not take the rod with me, and throw a few worms along
the way...you know, just to spice things up a little . Next time out,
it was a nice walk, and I stopped by the cypress grove to wet the line a
bit. A couple casts later I got hung up, and broke the line off...the
rest of the walk was uneventful. Next day I am headed out, and decide to
take an extra hook and a couple extra worms...took me almost 3 hours to
"walk" the 2 miles.

So, my question is....do you think I make up for the "slow" walk with a
couple hundred casts along the way? grin

You burn the same calories walking, running, or walking stopping and
casting. If you travel the same distance, you burn a few extra when
casting. It does not get your heart rate up like walking fast does,, but
for weight loss, it makes no difference in the speed it takes you to go
a distance

I am not trying to lose any weight....I probably need to gain some !

I am working on stamina, and strength...and I doubt that casting a lure
is gonna accomplish that...but, the stress reduction far offsets the
interuption in the physical fitness program! At least that's my story,
and I'm sticking to it! grin.
