since Gord simply has a link to a commercial web site as a sig - as do some
other regular posters I can't see what's the problem. "Ken Fortenberry" wrote in message .com... He had _no_ sig file. -- rbc:vixen,Minnow Goddess,Willow Watcher, and all that sort of thing. Often taunted by trout. Only a fool would refuse to believe in luck. The problem is that Gord used a request for literature as an excuse to post a commercial for his business. One would think that a British Columbia outfitter would be able to recommend at least one or two books about fishing in British Columbia to a guy from Finland who wanted to spend the winter planning a trip, but Gord chose to post nothing but a self-serving commercial. A commercial that was, at best, misleading. Gord's commercial was mildy, VERY mildly, rebuked and so he came back to roff to lie and whine about it. The lying and whining is despicable and offensive, and that too, is the problem. HTH -- Ken Fortenberry |

wrote: so is this a sig or did I enter it like you said Gord did? www.sendmeyourmoney.com Not quite. It's in the right direction, but it should be an empty space line or two below your post. Then you put in two dashes (not underscores) and a space and another empty space line. Then your sig. You can find out why about the two dashes and a space some other time, just be sure they're there. And it still helps to put in the http:// before the www. Some people have old programs or programs that just don't add the http:// automagically. (the sned below is intentional, btw. Assume it's just because I'm a little eccentric.). So if it were my sig, I'd be doing: -- http://www.snedmeyourmoney.com And then I'd add my name or one or two lines about my business. Not more than 4 lines total. 5 won't get you flamed, but more will have people just looking at an enormous sig and sighing or screaming. As mine is a vanity page, I just put something I think it interesting or clever below it. (Oops. 5 lines. Oh, well). -- rbc:vixen,Minnow Goddess,Willow Watcher, and all that sort of thing.
