Cortland rimfly small?

Does anyone have the specs on the Cortland Rimfly small? (weight,
diameter, line suggestion). I am looking at one up for sale, but can't
find any info. The seller bought from an estate and can't help me out.

I believe this is the same reel as the Intrepid ( Leeda) Rimfly,
which was produced in England, and was an extremely popular reel, They
ceased production of the original quite a while ago, and then started
again. Most on ebay etc are from the 1960´s. The firm Leeda which
became BFR ( British Fly Reels) outsourced production to Taiwan, and
the reels are still produced, but nowhere near the same quality. I
believe the small was a 3" reel, but I cant remember exactly. The
"regular" was 3 1/2 inch, and was recommended for a #6 line as I
recall. But people used them for all sorts of things, they were cheap
and reliable, if somewhat heavy.

In the meantime, there have been so many "rimfly" reels produced, that
it is difficult to find a specific reel. If you can give me some more
info, I might be able top help a bit more exactly.

You could simply ask this seller for the specs.

Just spoke to an old mate of mine about this, and he tells me the
"small" was 3 1/4 ", and took a #5 WF.

Rimfly is no longer manufactured, but has been replaced by the Corland
Crown series. A small would take up to a WF5 line with 80 yards of
backing. I wouldn't use this reel for big fish, Janus, but it is
perfect for pan fish. Inexpensive and extra spools are too. Do a
google.
